 
            Jeff Pitchford
Jeff Pitchford is the CTE Information Technology/Cybersecurity Instructor at Putnam Career & Technical Center (PCTC). He is also the school’s SYSOP and serves on the Technology Advisory Board at MountWest Community College.
Before becoming an Instructor at PCTC in January 2019, Jeff was a Coordinator at West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) where he served as an advocate for different educational data needs of WV districts and WVDE offices through Data Governance policy and procedure. He created instructions for EOY, WVEIS, and ZOOMWV-e processes. He also trained teachers, administrators, and other educational staff in WVEIS, ZOOMWV-e and other WVDE systems.
Prior to working at the WVDE, Jeff was a Technology Systems Specialist (TSS) for Putnam County Schools (PCS) where was the IT Lead for Buffalo High, GW Middle, and GW Elementary Schools. He trained teachers and admin on different programs and maintained the school’s computer infrastructure. He also developed BYOD policy and software solutions for teachers and staff.
Previous to working in education, Jeff was a Senior Network Admin, Information Systems Manager, and System Analyst in law, construction, manufacturing, and healthcare fields.
Jeff is a skilled technology professional with 30 plus years of experience with an Information Technology emphasis in multiple industries. A certified CTE teacher with E-Learning, teacher training, and Curriculum development experience. He is an implementer of different technologies in education, healthcare, and other industry environments.
Jeff earned his MS in Technology Management, CTE Teacher Certification, and BBA in Management Information Systems from Marshall University.
