Lee Ayers

Lee Ayers is the Chief Security Officer for KDE Technology, a role he
has held for nearly a decade, overseeing all aspects of the company’s
cybersecurity posture. A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Lee has
dedicated two decades to the cybersecurity domain. His extensive
experience includes significant expertise in penetration testing,
complemented by relevant certifications such as Ethical Hacker.
Lee leverages his previous red team experience in his leadership at
KDE Technology. Recognizing the critical need for robust security
for KDE’s nationwide infrastructure, public-facing web servers, and
the sensitive customer data of businesses, non-profits, and
government entities they serve, Lee was instrumental in the growth
of KDE’s cybersecurity division. This division now offers cybersecurity
assessments, cybersecurity consulting, Red Teaming, and policy writing
services, building upon KDE’s internal expertise in securing its own
extensive network. Lee is also a published author, having written the book
“Cyber Resilience.” He remains committed to advancing cybersecurity
practices in West Virginia through collaboration and ongoing education.
